Monoprinting For The Mustangs!

This is my first attempt at making something using Monoprinting. I am using a Gelli Plate which is a squishy mineral oil based printing plate that is very versatile and easy to use

I am going to be using this process by Rudolf Steiner which I talk about in a previous post: https://intuitiveart.net/wild-mustangs/13-mystical-days-365-day-art-challenge-fundraiser/ and where you can download the instructions and join me if you like… but today I just decided to try something out to see if it worked.

I used an artograph Tracer, which I have never used before, thinking it was “cheating”, to project the picture of the horse onto one of my many prints I have made, cut it out and glued it to another print and put in some details.

These are all 8 x 10 prints, some on copy paper, some on tracing paper, some on mixed media paper. Ultimately I will probably invest in a 16 x 20 Gelli Plate, but right now I am teaching myself this technique…
