I could not resist doing one horse stencil – maybe I will do that for each of the portal days…- weird eye showed up in this one that is too big – I will have to fix that…

These, I decided to fill up the whole page with paint/print… I felt a little better tonight doing these than I have with any of the others. I attribute this to coming out of the Mercury RX shadow and I am confident that I will find my footing with this printing method and collage and painting using these substrate papers…
This series of 8 was made mostly with tattoo ink – and this deep red in particular which seems to have a lot of metal in it. These are vegan inks but they definitely have metals in them… going into your skin. I don’t think we thought about that back in 1991 when I did my apprenticeship in New York – and I bought these inks in 2017 online – still no thought about health concerns …
I tried to cover up the white of the paper as best I could – but it’s better than yesterdays – for sure.
this one has white paint on it. A lot of the Gelli print artists I have been watching on youtube use white to pick up the last layers – but this didn’t work that well. I still don’t “get it”.

Here using my spiral stencils I made yesterday.
again – weird prints I don’t really get it – what the big deal is. I used to do marbelized paper when I was a kid with enamel paint floating on water and pull prints off that – that was amazing – this is – ho hum.
this – I used the wave stencil after I cut it – it didn’t really work.
We shall see what I do with these – NO IDEA.
